Our commitment
Aussie Builders Directory is for everyone who needs work done, and that includes people who use assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across the site.
We consider accessibility when we build new features, and we act on the barriers people report to us.
Accessibility features
The site is designed to work with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation and browser zoom up to 200% without losing content or functions. Every page has a “Skip to content” link, form fields have visible labels, and interactive elements show a clear focus outline.
We aim for colour contrast that meets WCAG AA and don’t rely on colour alone to show information. Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text.
Provide feedback
If you find a barrier while using Aussie Builders Directory, please tell us through our contact page and choose “Accessibility”. Describe the problem, the page you were on, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 2 business days and fix confirmed problems as quickly as we can.
Need a tradie?
Tell us about the job and we'll match it with up to 3 local tradies. Your contact details go only to businesses on a paid plan here, and after you send we tell you which businesses got them. Free, no obligation.
